About Donatella

Donatella is a 32-year-old woman passionate about fashion and art. She
attended the Orsoline del San Carlo artistic high school in Milan and continued her studies in fashion design at the Naba Academy in the same city, graduating on time. She began her career as a brand manager assistant in a showroom after graduation.

Later, she had the opportunity to spend six months in New York with Max Mara. Upon returning to Italy, she deepened her passion for creating clothing by working in the product development office of renowned high fashion brands such as Vionnet and Bottega Veneta.

Story of d.d.

    The d.d. brand was born during a car conversation with her partner during the summer holidays of 2022. It started as a project that later evolved into a kimono collection called "The Journey." Each kimono represents a painting created by Donatella's partner and printed on fabric, then assembled by her.

    The five kimonos have names that represent different poetic phases in Donatella's partner's life, up to the birth of their child, where "the end" marks a new beginning. The name d.d. is a diminutive of their names and represents the courage that Donatella's partner gave her to undertake this adventure.
