December and the value of waiting
Share
A reflection for those who create, for those who feel, for those who are about to change.
December always arrives this way, quietly. It brings with it a different, more inclined light, a silence that makes no noise but is felt. And that strange feeling that something is ending... and something else is about to begin.

I always feel this month as a threshold: a suspended time, where there's no need to rush, and where we can finally slow down. And listen.
In the atelier, this December has a different feel. Nothing big is happening, apparently: there are no launches, no hype.
And yet… something is moving.

There's a thought slowly growing, a project taking shape without yet revealing itself, a new piece of my work that needs time. Space. Respect.
I can't tell you everything yet, and maybe that's okay: because we also need this: not to know everything right away , to learn to wait .

We live in an age where waiting has become almost annoying. Everything must be immediate, declared, launched. And even in fashion (perhaps especially in fashion) we always feel compelled to do, to show, to update.
But I believe in the opposite . I believe in the time that prepares, in the time that listens, in the time that doesn't produce, but rather matures . And ultimately... all the beautiful things I know were born this way.

Every ddLab piece is born like this: from an intuition that needs to settle, from a hand that pauses before cutting, from a silence that arrives before the shape.
This new project, which will be launched in January, also stems from that. From a choice to study further, to delve deeper. To take the time of transformation seriously.
It won't just be a novelty. It will be a new direction —more tailored, more intimate, more dedicated, and designed for those seeking not just a dress, but a profound experience.

And meanwhile… in this December that seems empty but is actually very full, I'll stop.
Breath.
And I leave room for waiting.
Because waiting, the beautiful kind, isn't stagnation. It's a fertile time. Indeed, it's like the earth in winter: it doesn't seem to do anything, but it's preparing to blossom.
In January, I'll share with you what's coming up. And I hope it will be something that speaks to you too.
For now, let's stay here,
in the magic of beautiful waiting.
